Monaghan Clay Mug
Made using local clay, and thrown on the potter’s wheel . Using traditional primitive methods we hand sieve clay from a local field , its a very slow process but we feel its worth the wait .When it is fired it changes colour dramatically from a dark grey colour to this wonderful shade of red (the oxide content makes it this colour)It is entirely glazed with a simple cobolt glaze and we left it half glazed on the outside to show off its texture and colour .
